Samenvatting

Wanneer endodontisch behandelde gebitselementen een persisterende endodontische problematiek vertonen, heeft de tandarts, indien tandbehoud gewenst is, de keuze uit twee opties: een orthograde benadering van het probleem: de herbehandeling, of een retrograde benadering: de apexresectie. Vroeger werd in zulke gevallen veelal gekozen voor een chirurgische aanpak.
