Correction to: The Abecedarian Approach to Social, Educational, and Health Disparities

In the section “Ages 39–45 Outcomes,” an error was made by providing details from author’s ongoing collaborative research with colleagues on neuroanatomical effects (Farah et al. 2017) and social decision-making (Luo et al. 2017). The citations are solely conference presentations and thus results should be considered only preliminary. Accordingly, the author correct his review paper by withdrawing all specific and numerical details in this section and substitute the statement, “My colleagues and I currently are engaged in final data analyses concerning possible structural and functional changes in the brain as well as social decision-making behavior expressed during neuroeconomic games. We seek to advance understanding of whether and how early education experiences may contribute to differences in these areas at much later life stages”. Hence, the author asks readers to ignore and not to refer any details from this section after the introductory paragraph stating why these topics are theoretically important and well-suited to scientific inquiry using an experimental study design. …
