Erica Bowen and Kate Walker provide an account of current issues surrounding the knowledge of adolescent dating violence in Psychology of Violence in Adolescent Romantic Relationships. Their book necessarily provides an overview of adolescent dating violence, regarding its nature and prevalence, long-term impacts, risk factors, and frameworks for intervention. Current literature on the issue is assessed to offer an evaluation of the recently recognized social issue of adolescent dating violence. Policy-makers, practitioners and researchers pursuing an understanding of violence in romantic relationships among adolescents will highly benefit from the literature of this book. The book’s findings provide a conceptual background for the nature, design, and evaluation of this form of violence with an emphasis on developing evidence-based practice. …
