There have been a large number of North American multi-authored volumes providing ‘cutting-edge syntheses of ASD research’ (e.g.: Casanova 2005; Coleman 2005; Moldin and Rubenstein 2006; Tuchman and Rapin 2006; Amaral et al. 2011).
