Children with neurodevelopmental conditions represent a diverse population that encompasses a wide span of diagnoses including: progressive encephalophy, traumatic brain injury, mental retardation, learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, neurobehavioral disorders (e.g., ADHD), spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, neuromuscular disorders, movement and tic disorders, and sensory disorders. This book examines many of these diagnoses with regards o psychosocial, emotional, behavioral, and educational outcomes, child, family, environmental, socioeconomic, contextual, and cultural factors which affect these outcomes, as well as the evidenced based treatment protocols, approaches, and systems of intervention used within this population. …
