Samenvatting

In dit hoofdstuk worden de verschillende pijnoorzaken van gebitselementen besproken. In de praktijk komen vaak spoedgevallen voor met pijn van endodontische aard, zoals de irreversibele pulpitis en pijnlijke parodontitis apicalis met en zonder abces. De diverse behandelmogelijkheden worden hier besproken. Daarnaast wordt ingegaan op hoe te handelen als een element moeilijk is te verdoven. Ook wordt beschreven hoe napijn kan worden voorkomen en bestreden.
