In Am I There Yet?: The Loop-de-loop, Zigzagging Journey to Adulthood, author-illustrator Mari Andrew delivers a guidebook for youth to assist them on their journey to adulthood. Filled with watercolored illustrations, the book is tailored towards the reader who is forging their own path, on their journey from childhood to adulthood. The book’s content is in line with poet Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken” (Frost 2001); but the presentation is 100% millennial. The origin of the book is a self-help regimen the author started in September, 2015. In response to a series of overwhelming losses, the author took it on herself to post a daily illustration on the social media platform Instagram. The author’s posts on heartbreak, joy, love, and self-discovery soon resonated with her audience. As of April, 2019, Andrew had more than one million followers on the platform (Andrew, n.d.). …
