Bullying in high schools is a common theme of discourse within schools and among theorists due to the prevalence of bullying in schools being associated with methods meant to discourage the practice. In her book, Gender Regulation, Violence, and Social Hierarchies in School: Sluts, Gays, and Scrubs, Victoria Rawlings sets out to explain the phenomenon of bullying- practices, and why they have stayed consistent through interventions, constructions, attitudes, and perspectives.
