Samenvatting

De endodontische behandeling van elementen met een niet-afgevormde apex en een necrotisch geïnfecteerde pulpa wordt gecompliceerd door het ontbreken van een drempel of vernauwing waartegen de kanaalvulling kan worden aangebracht zonder vulmateriaal in het periapicale weefsel te persen. In dit hoofdstuk wordt besproken op welke wijze dit probleem kan worden aangepakt. Het aanbrengen van een apicale stop van een biokeramisch materiaal wordt besproken, evenals de methode van revitalisatie waarbij de wortelformatie verder wordt voltooid of het apicale foramen wordt vernauwd.
